Welcome! I am a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Harvard University. I teach social network analysis in the fall and organizations in the spring besides coordinating a workshop on social networks and social capital with my colleagues. I also work with Professor Bruce Western as a postdoctoral research fellow on projects related to American income insecurity and civic engagement. With a broad academic background ranging from public administration to political science, from economics to sociology, and from statistics to health and social policy, I have extensive research interests in a variety of areas including organizations, social policy and development, and methodology (especially social network analysis, causal inference, and field experiments). My dissertation examines peer effects on adolescent smoking and the efficacy of social network-based interventions (SNI), which perfectly combines my practical policy orientation, my endurance in statistical analysis, and my fantasy for field experiments. I plan to extend SNI to other domains as well in the near future, such as organizational design, crime prevention, and community development. In leisrue time, I like playing basketball and poker. |
