Welcome to Rhino Net: The Online Rhino League Commune

This website is for the hardcore rhinoleaguers and other regulars out there. The main attraction is a pic of the rhino league courts so that people can tell whether other people are out there enjoying the sun and having some fun. Currently, running streaming video. If the applet does not work, try clicking on it a few times. It only loads about 30% of the time. Also, if you don't have JAVA, are just checking to see if people are there, want to ease the server load, or want to see a higher res pic of the court, to the left is a link to a snapshot image of the courtyard, updated every minute or so.

To the left (besides the snapshot) are links to a slightly outdated Schedule, Immediate Calls Board (guestbook), Debating Forums (chat room), General Posting Board (forum), a list of the Duels of the Month (a calendar), and some links. The guestbook are mainly to post soon to happen events, such as after hours practice announcements and free beer. The chat room is for any purpose, but may be useful for working out details of schedules and such. The forum is for random postings besides for soon to happen vball related events. (For example, calls to practice for later dates.) Finally, the calendar is for those who may want to put up specific events that have been decided on.

NOTE: I don't think the glare problem is fully fixed, although I did wipe that disgusting biolabs window as best as I could. Sadly, all of the rooms I have access to are facing the courtyard.... and the big bad sun. If anyone has a decent computer that is in a room facing the courtyard without any glare, that is left on and connected to the internet 24/7, and would not mind losing some CPU and RAM for the webcam, I would like to use it for the webcam.

This project was created by yours truly, Tomo Sato, starting on a random early Thursday morning when he finally overcame his laziness in pursuing the project so that he could feed his greater laziness: not having to walk out to the courts from his apartment 5 minutes away, and still be able to see if people are playing. Luckily, there were a couple webcams lying around, and considering I have no use for them in my apartment, why not donate it to a greater cause. Anyways, if you’re bored enough / procrastinating enough to read this, you can also waste an extra few minutes at my homepage, which pretty much reads like a resume. The only entertaining parts are down below in a hobbies section. I think my restaurant list and food shopping areas are entertaining. You could also enjoy some one-time negative humor in the other parts. But otherwise, it’s a pretty lame webpage. But I have better things to do. Like volleyball.
