I am a research associate in the Atmospheric Chemistry Modeling Group at Harvard.

My research focuses on the biogeochemical cycles of climatically important species in the atmosphere and ocean. I use modeling techniques, ranging from simple box models to global 3-D biogeochemical tracer transport models, to interpret observational records and identify the primary controls on chemical distributions and budgets. I also analyze model simulations in conjunction with observations using statistical techniques such as inverse methods to provide 'top-down' constraints on regional fluxes. These tools allow us to evaluate hypotheses on governing processes, quantify fluxes and budgets, and provide predictive power for analyzing the impacts of future climate change. My recent work has focused on atmospheric CO2 and on the cycles of carbon and nitrogen in the ocean.
