PERSONAL PROFILE
-
I was born and grew up in Hong Kong, before I came to the U.S. to study at MIT. I went to CNEC Christian College for junior school and Li Po Chun United World College for high school. Still deeply in love with Hong Kong cultures despite the many years spent here.
-
In 2003 I went to MIT, my childhood dream school, only to discover that I was not that into engineering or biomedical science... Rather, I became a tree hugger hoping to "enhance the welfare of mankind by addressing the unprecedented environmental challenges, e.g. global warming, we are facing today" (paraphrased from my grad school applications). And then I interestingly decided to go to its rival school a few blocks down the street...
-
I became a Christian quite early on during my junior school. In Hong Kong, I attend Chinese Christian Assemblies of God; in Boston, I attend Boston Chinese Evangelical Church. In 2009, I was awarded the Harvey Fellowship by the Mustard Seed Foundation, which encourages individuals to "actively integrate their faith and vocation as leaders in strategic occupations".
-
In my spare time, I read, sing, act, hike, play piano, and hang out. Occasionally I take pictures.
