Teaching:

Stat 104: Introduction to Quantitative Methods (Fall 2006)

An introductory statistics course; essentially an accelerated version of Stat 100. Professor: Kenneth Stanley (Public Health)

Stat 149: Statistical Sleuthing through Generalized Linear Models (Spring 2007, Spring 2009)

An advanced undergraduate course on Generalized Linear Modelling (taught jointly with Stat 249). Professor: Xiao-Li Meng (Statistics)

Stat 249: Statistical Sleuthing through Generalized Linear Models (Spring 2007, Spring 2009)

A graduate-level course on Generalized Linear Modelling (taught jointly with Stat 249). Professor: Xiao-Li Meng (Statistics).

Departmental Teaching Fellow in Statistics (Summer 2007 - Spring 2008)

A Bok Center initiative designed to focus on enhancing teaching in specific disciplines. Various projects and possible workshop details to follow.

Stat 303: The Art and Practice of Teaching Statistics (Fall 2007, Spring 2008)

Training course for first-year PhD students in preparation for their future TFing duties. The course has a variety of sessions; practice teachings, pedagogical training, meeting undergraduates, office hours, and many more.

Stat 221: Statistical Computing and Learning (Fall 2009)

A graduate course teaching both the fundamentals and more advanced applications of statistical computing and machine learning. Professor: Edo Airoldi (Statistics).

Stat 105: Real-Life Statistics: Your Chance for Happiness (or Misery) (Spring 2008/9/10)

I have been involved in the planning and preparation of this undergraduate course for several years. The course aims to teach many of the basic concepts of Statistics in some new and (hopefully) fun ways. Professor: Xiao-Li Meng (Statistics).

Research:

Research Assistant (Summer 2006)

Generalized Linear Mixed Models: An overview of methodology and computation

Research Assistant (Summer 2007)
