Technical Specifications
Christopher's Homepage is designed in Gnu Emacs. Image-crafting utilities include: programs written by me in C++, Microsoft Paint (for some older images), and The Gimp.
Christopher's Homepage is tested using Mozilla Firefox running under Suse Linux. Alternate style sheets can be selected on the Set Style Sheet page, but they are not guaranteed to render correctly on any browser which is not fully CSS2-compliant, which is just about all of them.
Christopher's Homepage is printer-friendly on any browser which is compatible with CSS2. The Print style sheet specifies 10pt serif black-on-white font with no navigation bar. But of course you can override this without hurting my feelings.
Conformance Issues
The coding for Christopher's Homepage is written specifically to comply with the HTML 4.01 Strict DTD, and the CSS2 Specification. Christopher puts a lot of effort into making sure every document on this page (with a few minor exceptions) conforms to these standards. All documents are checked with W3C's validators for HTML 4.01 and CSS2. These buttons are links to these services, and evidence that this page complies. I would like to achieve Double-A, or possibly Triple-A, conformance to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Conformance to up-to-date standards is very important to me; if you have any comments or suggestions regarding this, I would love to hear them.
Known exceptions to the above conformance guidelines are noted here: There are none at this time.

I would love it if you put a link to Christopher's Homepage on your page! I used to say I would always be willing to reciprocate and link to you if you did this. But then an ad-infested link farm with bot-generated content lifted from dmoz.org and no original material told me they had a link to Twistile, and wanted me to link to them. So now my policy is, I am happy to reciprocate if you aren't the bane of the internet.
