Eligibility

All Undergraduates and graduate students enrolled in Harvard University and MIT no matter the discipline. A language course can only be offered if there is a Harvard student enrolled in it.

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

No auditing. Enrollment is a must.
Must get a letter grade.

Undergraduates are welcome to take any of the languages. Unless otherwise specified (as in the case of Elementary Swahili, Elementary Twi, and Elementary Yoruba) all the African language courses are half courses. First semester courses are usually offered in the fall.

GRADUATE STUDENTS

Must enroll. No auditing. Can take the course for SAT/UNSAT or for a letter grade. Languages available to graduate students include all those offered to undergraduates. Graduate students can also request a language suitable for their research.
