Summer of '98

Summer of '98

Here's a group of totally unorganized pictures of my time back home in the summer of '98. Included are my kids that I worked with at Punahou summer school, the jr. high and high schoolers that I hung out with at church, Jeff's going away party and me and the Lim's first ever triathlon experience.

Here's Jon Crosson showing just exactly why he is a sub 2 half-miler, an eagle scout, a distinguished student at Wake Forest and all around cool guy. This photo is taken half way up the stairway hike in Kaneohe.

Here is some of the Jr. High and High School group from the summer of '98. The Diamond Head Service Project is growing!

This is Blake Gammel. He sits on state highway tunnels for fun. For his sake I hope his folks aren't looking at this site. In the foreground, a picture of me and Troy Nakamatsu from the Moks.

Here is Jer, Eric and Saddam after the great fishing trip of '98. The Limpkey's finally got their motor working, and we had a great day of trolling and diving by Bird Rock. This GIGANTIC fish were served for dinner that night.

Here's my summer school class at Punahou: Math Blast for first and second graders. Can you find me in the picture....maybe I blended in a little too much.

Going away party for Jeff at the Thompson's.

Going to the beach for sunrise with yellow swim caps has always been a favorite past time for us. No, actually this is just before the start of the Kapolei Triathlon. Had a lot of fun, but they charge way too much for these races. Eric would probably tell you its worth it, though, because of the post-race benefits. I'll let him tell you the story, though. Just ask him about the synchronized clapping.

Don't ask.

Here's a collage of pushups in Haleakala crater, coming out of the swim in the triathlon, and me toasting some jacked guy in the run who probably whooped up on me in the swim.

Another collage of the Diamond Head hike, the pre-stairway campout and football on the beach with Tim and Senelly.
