4.4) As Time Goes On: A Workshop for Students Affected by Death and Loss
Someone once said after the loss of someone close, "First there's the death; then there's the loss." Grieving takes time, and it can take many forms. Even the death of someone we didn't know, or know well, can leave us with thoughts, feelings, and perspectives about other losses we've experienced and about how we live our own lives. Topics we'll consider include dealing with our emotions; expectations for the grieving process (including delayed grief reactions); registering the reality of the loss and all that goes with that; methods of coping; communication with others who might be in a different place from us; and rethinking our priorities and sense of purpose or meaning. Wednesday, November 18, 3 -4:30 pm at the Bureau of Study Counsel, 5 Linden St. To register for this workshop, please email Sheila Reindl at sreindl@bsc.harvard.edu or SungLim Shin at slshin@bsc.harvard.edu.
