Welcome to my homepage. I currently teach at Harvard University as an assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy.

My primary areas of research lie in early modern philosophy, the philosophy of science, and especially their interesection. I also have strong interests, however, in medieval philosophy, as well as contemporary metaphysics and epistemology.

During the academic year 2009-2010, I will be teaching lecture courses on Continental Rationalism and the History of the Philosophy of Religion. I will also be directing a seminar on Early Modern Philosophy (with Alison Simmons) and a Latin translation course.

Please contact me if you are interested in learning more about the Harvard Workshop in Early Modern Philosophy, the New England Conference in Early Modern Philosophy, or the Later Latin Reading Group.
