About me

I grew up in Rutigliano (Southern Italy) and moved to Rome to study physics at University "La Sapienza". Currently I'm a Daly Fellow of the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Harvard University. I completed my Ph.D. at the International Graduate College THESIS of the Bavarian Elitenetwork, under the supervision of Prof. Hans-Peter Bunge. My research aims at a detailed understanding of the magnitude and spatial distribution of driving and resisting forces in Plate Tectonics, for which I use numerical simulations of global lithosphere dynamics performed in conjunction with 3-D mantle circulation models.
