In no particular order, here are some books I am wrestling with at the moment:
(this page came about while I was having a rather longer-than-planned break from grading term papers...)
Moral Minds

One of the books for Science B29 Evolution of Human Nature.
Seems like a promising read, if the prologue and the number of reviews (both positive and slamming) are anything to go by.
The God Delusion

Title says it all. Informative, funny and thoughtful. Highly recommended for anyone who still believes (in anything other than one's own abilities).
Life in Cold Blood

Seen the film, got the T-shirt but have not read the book yet. Has been on my shelves for nearly an year now. Graduate school killed my child-like enthusiasm for learning outside my immediately relevant areas of research interests. Sad but true.
The Gun Seller

One of the funniest thrillers I have ever started reading. By the guy off of House.
The Dobe Ju/'Hoansi

Haven't techically started reading it yet - just got it in the mail today. One of those must-read books in anthropology.
A classic. Hopefully it lives up to the expectations.
A Long Way Gone
I think this is one of the most disturbingly realistic descriptions of civil warfare in Africa.
The Tales of Beedle the Bard
As usual, turns out to be a much more engaging book even for 'mature' readers than one might think.
Soon to come:
The New York Trilogy

(apparently it's good!)
