Postdoctoral Fellow, Harvard University
gagliardi at fas dot harvard dot edu

Research interests: language acquisition, computational modeling, crosslinguistic psycholinguistics, syntax, morphology

I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at Masha Polinsky's lab in the Harvard Linguistics department, working on building tools to collect corpora of child directed speech in understudied languages (check out the Android app we are developing to facilitate corpus building of understudied languages!), analyzing the syntax of the biabsolutive construction in Nakh-Dagestanian languages, investigating the acquisition of relative clauses in Q'anjob'al with Pedro Mateo Pedro and conducting behavioral experiments looking at the representation of noun class/grammatical gender, among other things.

I am also working with Jeff Lidz in the Project on Children's Language Learning at UMD on the acquisition of noun classes, novel word learning and the acquisition of filler gap dependencies, Naomi Feldman on computational modeling of noun classification and word learning, and The language acquisition group at the University of Tromsø on the acquisition of Norwegian grammatical gender
