Research Programs
The Davis Center supports both individual research
and sponsored research programs on Russia and the nations and countries
that surround it. Individual researchers work on their own projects
while enjoying a collegial atmosphere for scholarly exchange and
discussion. Sponsored research programs build resources and expand
scholarship related to a particular topic or area.
Davis Center Affiliations
Each academic year, the Davis Center offers a small number of funded research fellowships.
The Davis Center hosts scholars on sabbatical leave from their home universities or those with outside funding as Visiting Scholars.
Scholars residing permanently in the Boston area with an interest in Russia or Eurasia may apply to become Center Associates.
Support for Harvard Faculty
Harvard faculty are invited to become Faculty Associates and are eligible to apply for funding to support their research.
Sponsored Research Projects
Typically supported with outside funding from private or public foundations, current sponsored
research projects at the Davis Center include the Program on Central Asia and the Caucasus, the Project on Islam in Eurasia, the Project on Cold War Studies, the Project on the Russian-Speaking Jewish Diaspora, and the Working Group on the Future of U.S.-Russia Relations.
