Harajuku 原宿

Stations: Harajuku on the JR Yamanote Line; also, Omotesando on the Metro Chiyoda Line

Omotesando 表参道 – the tree-lined boulevard leading from Aoyama-dori to the main entrance of the Meiji Jingu (Meiji Shrine) next to Harajuku station; Omotesando was laid out as a ceremonial approach to the Shrine and is now one of Tokyo’s most fashionable shopping districts.

Takeshita-dori – a small winding street a block north of Omotesando, lined with boutiques for teenagers, specializing in trendy clothes, music, DVDs, and imported British and American kitsch.
