This volume contains an edition and translation with commentary of book five of the Paippalada Samhita of the Atharvaveda. It has been edited on the basis of the well-known birch bark MS from Kashmir, presented to the University of Tuebingen Library by the Maharaja of Kashmir in 1876, and of some new palm leaf manuscripts from Orissa as reported in the editio princeps of the Orissa MSS by D. Bhattacharya (1997).
