About Me

I am the librarian for Robbins Library, Department of Philosophy, Harvard University, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. My job is to manage a fascinating, historical collection and to assist patrons with philosophy-related research.

I come to philosophy via a meandering route through the sciences and theology, and to library science via serendipity.

Philosophically, I am trained primarily in pragmatism and Continental philosophy; at present, I am expanding my horizons in analytic and Anglo-American philosophy.

Although much of my life has been spent in the humanities, I still retain an active interest in the natural and social sciences, especially in biology, paleontology, and psychology.
