I am a PhD Candidate in the Department of Philosophy at Harvard University. My main areas of interests in metaphysics and epistemology (broadly construed) are philosophy of mind, philosophy of psychology, and epistemology. In social philosophy, I am concerned with issues in the philosophy of race and African-American Philosophy. My dissertation research explores the nature of phenomenal experiences and how these experiences
contribute, psychologically and epistemically, to one's beliefs. I also consider how pathological failures of rationality shape beliefs about one's phenomenal experiences. In social philosophy, I am primarily concerned with theories of race and racism, distributive and compensatory justice, and how to interpret Du Bois' theory of race. When I'm not working on these issues, I also like to think about non-inferential justification, theories of reference, free will, and moral assessment. |
